Club Newsletters
- Due: 5th of every month
- Send to: Lt. Governor William Yi, club officers, club members, faculty and Kiwanis advisors
- Length: at least 1 page
- Worth: 200 points (100-point deduction for not submitting it)
- What to include: club projects, social events, and important announcements (some recap of past events; mostly talking about future events)
- The "Duties of the Bulletin Editor" provided details which topics you should cover in your newsletter each month. It's really helpful!
Some pointers:
- Create newsletters in Microsoft Word, which makes it easier to turn your newsletter into a .pdf file. Don't leave it as a Microsoft Publisher file since many people don't have Microsoft Publisher installed on their computers.
- Use the newsletter template provided by Key Club International, but you can make it your own (changing decorative fonts and colors). Please stick to Graphic Standards when possible (meaning that most of your text is in the Century Gothic or Goudy Old Style font). It promotes Key Club with a uniform look all over the world.
- My newsletter will be different from yours because mine is meant for officers, not members. In your newsletter, remind the officers of upcoming deadlines, but provide insight into Key Club procedures, projects, and social events for the members. You can even set up a committee when school starts in which the committee members are assigned to write articles for certain projects.
- You can name your newsletter whatever you want (get input from other officers, though). Have fun with it! You can change your main newsletter colors based on season or month if you want to. For example, your December newsletter can be red and green.
